I’ve spent my career evaluating products, decisions, and people
Before becoming a coach, I spent 25+ years in technology across engineering, consulting, program management, and product management.I spent nine years at Amazon, where I became a Principal Product Manager - Technical (L7). I worked across advertising, fraud prevention, and Alexa, but some of the experience that most shaped my coaching came from interviewing and evaluating talent.I conducted 150+ live interviews and wrote technical assessments for promotion candidates. That work forced me to get very clear on a deceptively difficult question:What actually separates strong performance from performance that raises the bar?That question still shapes how I coach today.
Most interview gaps are invisible to the candidate
Strong candidates rarely struggle because they lack ability or frameworks.The issue is usually a mismatch between intent and impact - what they think they’re communicating versus what the interviewer actually hears.Sometimes answers are too detailed and lose focus.
Sometimes the candidate underplays or even omits their key contribution.
Sometimes the reasoning isn’t structured clearly enough to land.My job is to identify those gaps quickly and help you close them.Not by giving scripts, but by improving how you think and communicate under pressure.

What is your coaching approach?
My coaching is direct, tailored, and focused on helping you improve quickly. I give frank feedback, including tough feedback when needed, so you discover gaps during practice rather than during the interview.Sessions are tailored to the interview in front of you, the areas where you need the most improvement, and how you learn best. I use frameworks when they are helpful, but I do not force every problem into a standard template.I generally favor deep dives over high fidelity mocks. If I see you heading in the wrong direction, I will redirect you early so we can understand why, correct the approach, and practice doing it better. The goal is not just to simulate an interview. It is to help you get better.What roles do you coach?
My primary focus is technical product leaders, including Technical Product Managers and Technical Program Managers, with particular experience coaching senior and principal level candidates.I also work with clients in adjacent roles, including supply chain managers, technical project managers, and engineers, especially when they are developing transferable interview skills such as behavioral storytelling.What interview types can you help with?
I coach behavioral, product sense and product design, execution, analytical, and technical depth interviews.Behavioral interviewing is a particular strength. My approach is heavily informed by nine years at Amazon and more than 150 interviews as an interviewer. Evaluating past experience, judgment, ownership, and impact was a core part of that work.For Technical Product Managers, my technical depth coaching is informed by experience evaluating technical depth and developing assessments for Principal PMT candidates. The goal is not to turn a PM into an engineer. It is to help you show that you understand the technology deeply enough to make good product decisions, challenge assumptions, reason about tradeoffs, and influence technical teams credibly.For product sense, execution, analytical, and related interviews, I focus more on practical problem solving than memorizing frameworks. These interviews compress real world product decisions into 30 to 45 minutes. I help you structure an ambiguous problem quickly, identify what matters, make defensible choices, and communicate your reasoning clearly under time pressure.Do you offer system design coaching?
For Technical Product Managers, I coach candidates on demonstrating technical depth. That includes explaining how systems work, reasoning through technical constraints and tradeoffs, and clearly communicating your role in technical decisions.I do not coach traditional software engineering system design interviews. For example, I would not be the right coach for a prompt like “Design a globally scalable chat service” where the candidate is expected to drive the architecture from an engineer’s perspective.Do you only coach Amazon interviews?
No. Amazon is an area of particularly deep expertise because of my nine years there as a Principal PMT and extensive interviewing experience, but most of my clients are interviewing elsewhere.My clients have received offers across Big Tech, cloud and AI, enterprise software, financial services, healthcare, retail, and other industries. Recent outcomes include offers from OpenAI, Google, Meta, Apple, NVIDIA, Microsoft, Amazon and AWS, along with DoorDash, JPMorgan Chase, Capital One, and many other companies.The core interview skills transfer across companies, even though the format and emphasis can differ. I tailor preparation to the company and role rather than applying an Amazon interview model everywhere.Can you help me prepare for a specific company?
Yes. Outside of Amazon, I do not pretend to have insider knowledge of a company’s interview process.Instead, I use the best information available. That includes what I have learned from previous clients who interviewed there, the guidance you receive from your recruiter or interview team, and the latest information available about the role and interview format.I also bring the perspective of an experienced interviewer. I can explain how I would interpret an answer, what signals would strengthen or weaken it, where I would probe further, and what might create doubt for an interviewer.If we do not know exactly what to expect, I will be transparent about that rather than presenting assumptions as fact.How many sessions should I book?
It depends on your goals, your current level, and how much preparation you actually need. I do not sell packages upfront because I do not think I can responsibly tell you how many sessions you need before I understand those things.I also believe I should earn your trust one session at a time. Some clients get what they need from a single focused session. Others choose to continue across several interview areas or work with me over multiple sessions. After working together, I can give you a more informed view of where additional coaching would be useful. There is never an expectation that you commit to a package.What should I bring to a coaching session?
Bring whatever context will help us make the session useful. That might include the role or job description, interview format, recruiter guidance, or specific stories and questions you want to work on.You do not need to arrive with polished answers or fully prepared material. We can work from wherever you are in your preparation.I have an interview coming up soon. Can you still help?
Yes. If your interview is close, we can focus on the highest leverage areas and make the most of the time you have.That said, I typically recommend starting at least a week before your interview when possible. Clients who give themselves more time generally have better outcomes because they have time to absorb feedback, practice, and come back with stronger answers.Will you tell me if you think I'm not ready?
Yes. Part of my job is to give you an honest assessment of where you are, not just make you feel more confident going into an interview.If I see gaps that materially increase your risk, I will tell you. In some cases, I advise clients to consider postponing an interview rather than going ahead before they are ready.That is not always the right decision. Delaying can have costs too, so I will help you think through the tradeoffs based on your readiness, the opportunity, your timeline, and how much more preparation is likely to help.The decision is yours. My role is to help you make it with a realistic view of where you stand.Do you offer career coaching?
I am not a general purpose career coach. I think of career conversations with me more as mentorship, informed by my own experience as a product and technology leader and by years mentoring others at Amazon.That can be useful if you are thinking through a career transition, evaluating opportunities, navigating your path as a PM or TPM, preparing for a promotion, or working through a situation where my experience is relevant.If there is a good match between what you are trying to figure out and what I can credibly help with, I am happy to work through it with you. If the topic falls outside my experience, I will tell you.What is your cancellation and refund policy?
You can reschedule a session up to 48 hours in advance with no penalty using the link in your confirmation email.Cancellations or reschedules within 48 hours of the session, or missed sessions, are not refundable, since that time has been reserved exclusively for you.
